Download The Zip File

Today, we will be talking about how a magic mouse works seamlessly with a PC. By seamless, I mean that all of the functions, like- multi-direction scrolling. And the function keys on the keyboard, like- brightness control, volume control, everything works and makes it really easy for you. So, you don’t have to do any coding. Just download the zip file and extract it after unzipping.

Launch The Application

Now, you will get a new folder. Go inside it and then double-click the Xero Magic Mac to launch the application.

Get The File

You are going to have the main menu of the application. If you don’t have the 7zip installed, you have to download it first. So just click it first and you are going to have the file. And after you are done installing, close the file.

Download Drivers

Click number two, and download drivers. So in this part, Apple does not officially offer the latest driver on the website. So, in order to get the latest driver, we have to do it by using some script written by Timothy Sutton on Github, called brigadier. Just wait for this to be done.

Go To The Folder

After it’s done, you can go to the folder. And now, you are going to see a new folder, called Bootcamp 04191737. Make sure it’s not an empty folder. If it’s not an empty folder, then you are ready.

Choose The Magic Mouse And Magic Keyboard

So, you have two options. The first one is to install only Magic Mouse and the second one is to install both the Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard. It would be better if you choose both the Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard. Then click on Next and let it install. Afterward, you can close the section after clicking on Finish.

Turn On The Bluetooth

Now, you can connect your Mouse and Keyboard together. Just turn on the Bluetooth connecting to the mouse. After that, add another device to the Bluetooth section and connect the keyboard.

Restart The Computer

Then you can try brightness control, volume control, mix, and mute. So, all the functions are actually working. You can restart the computer now.

Try The Multi-direction Scrolling

So now we are back to the computer. After it gets restarted, we can try the multi-direction scrolling. If you go to some websites, you can already see the difference.

Launch The Magic Mac

If you want to have the natural scrolling direction like in the Mac, what you have to do is, launch the Magic Mac one more time.

Change The Value

Go to Enable scrolling direction, and click it. Then go to the first section, and expand it. There you will get Defines parameters. Double-click it. Now, change the value from zero to one, then hit okay and close it.

Check For The Functions

You have to restart your computer one more time. This is the last time that you have to restart your computer. Now, you have a fully functional Apple Magic Mouse with multi-directional scrolling. You will see that the function keys on your keyboard, like- rights control, volume control, play, pause, etc are working fine.
